Financial Report

  • Given by Becky Cummings, Treasurer

OLD BUSINESS

  • Club Officers – The current board is working on prospects for the position of Vice President and Secretary.  “Alex” Alexander has been appointed as Member at Large.
  • The positions of Webmaster, Susan Allmeroth and Volunteer Coordinator, Tiffany Montini will be added to the website.

New Business

  • Trail stake paint/repair party will be June 7th, 11am, at the hockey rink behind Pleasant Valley Store.  It will be a potluck/picnic with the club providing burgers, hot dogs and buns.  Bring a lawn chair, dish to share, saw horses, staple gun and staples.  Paint and supplies will be provided by the club.
  • Jason will take the tent in for repair to Alaska Tent and Tarp.
  • Committees are being formed for the 2009-2010 season. Jason Weitzel and Bruce Wright have signed up for the trail committee.   We are deleting the Race/rules committee due to lack of volunteers.  The board will update the rules.  Committee volunteers will be listed on the website.
  • Race dates were discussed and will be posted as soon as confirmation is made by all businesses involved.  We do need Race Managers for several of the races.  If no one volunteers by November 1, 2009 to manage a race, it will be taken off the schedule.  Thanks to Val Mackler (HAMBURGER RUN) and Bill McKee (TUNE UP) for volunteering early.
  • The age requirements of junior racers are 14-17. The board will come up with a petition form for under age juniors wanting to race.
  • A plan was addressed for recruiting volunteers.  We will make a request in the newsletter for every musher that runs one of our races to volunteer for another race.  We will also post for community involvement for volunteers.
