TRDMA Meeting Minutes 3/3/09

Meeting came to order at 7:30pm

Becky Cummings gave the financial report.

A. Sponsorship – Val Mackler sent thank you notes to new sponsors.  Aurora Veterinary Clinic donated a first aide kit designed for dog care to be given as the veterinarian’s choice award during the Two Rivers 200/100.

B. Race – Angel Creek Lodge will offer breakfast for $5 on Friday morning’s race start for the Two Rivers 200/100.

C. Trail – A group will be breaking in the trail this weekend.  Flattop is in.

D. Benevolent – no new news.

Old Business

Frosty Dog – Great feedback from mushers who would like to do this race in the future.

Tent – Fly needs to be picked up from AK Tent and Tarp and the stove hole needs cutting. The stove will be borrowed for Saturday at the race.

Snowmachine – running ok.  Becky Alexander motioned to request a better machine from the Borough based on problems with the current machine.

New Business

Volunteers needed for the 200/100.  Race judge and veterinarian have been confirmed.

Tent Party on Saturday at Susan’s to set up the new wall tent.

Board Nominations needed for next month’s vote.

            No nominations for President, Vice President, Secretary.

            Becky Cummings accepted nomination for Treasurer.

Trail Etiquette Signs are being put up in the area and the group organizing them is taking input for the design and information included.

Valley Funale will be a potluck again this year.  The club will provide meat, buns, and condiments.

Member Comments – Abbie West donated poster and the club will make prints.
