TRAIL STAKE PAINT/REPAIR DATE SET
Mark your calendars for June 7, 2009 11am. We are combining the
trail stake paint/repair day with our summer picnic/potluck and the
June meeting. It will be held by the borough building between the
ball field and hockey rink behind Pleasant Valley Store. The club
will provide burgers and buns, you supply a potluck dish. Bring saw
horses and 2x4s (if you have them) along with a staple gun and
staples. We are looking to have at least 10 teams of 2 to help get
the trail stakes ready for the next race season. The club has about
1600 trail stakes. 400 (or so) need completely painted and
reflective tape stapled on, the rest need repaired. This is a fun
get together and a chance to visit with each other while
accomplishing a major requirement for our races. Contact Becky if
you are coming and what equipment you can bring so plans can be made
for extra equipment, food and such. 322-2115 or email

EAGLE FLOODS
The board held a special meeting on the flooding in Eagle and voted
to donate dog food for the 4-legged victims. This was accomplished
with help from 49er Feed and the Lions Club. 720 pounds of food was
sent out May 9th.
COMMITTEES ARE FORMING
If you are interested in serving on a committee, now is the time for
all good members to come to the aid of their club. I know this is
corny, but the club is in danger of races and events being dropped
from the schedule. We have set a cutoff date of November 1, 2009
to acquire race managers for the races. If no one volunteers, the
race will be dropped from the schedule. Thanks to Bill McKee for
signing on to do the TUNE UP. One thing we would like to see this
year? If you are planning on running one of our races, pick one of
the other races to VOLUNTEER for. The sooner you commit to a race,
the better the chance of getting the VOLUNTEER position you want.
(like the easy things)
akalex1@att.net We do have a new VOLUNTEER coordinator. Thanks
to Tiffany Montini for helping the club out. She will be calling
you and ask you to VOLUNTEER.
TRAIL ADVISORY BOARD
Charlotte Davis, with the Borough Trail Advisory Board, discussed
trails and right of ways. She has requested the help of TRDMA to
help with a right of way clearing on “TRAILS DAY 2009” June 6.
Everyone was asked to meet at 10 mile CHSR and bring trail clearing
equipment, snacks, water, etc. She can be reached @ 488-6187
RACE DATES ARE BEING SET AND WILL BE ANNOUNCED IN THE NEXT
NEWSLETTER. THE TENTATIVE SCHEDULE IS ON THE WEBSITE
