We will be having the Triathlon this weekend but will be eliminating the canoe/kayak leg due to the high water on the Chena River and related safety concerns.
The revised format will be a 3 mile run (flat trail), 10 mile bike, 3 mile (hilly trail), then 10 mile bike. Challenging but doable. The start and finish will still be at the Tors Parking area.

The 3rd Annual Two Rivers Triathlon is set for Saturday, August 2nd, 2008 at the Tors Northside parking. Sign-ups will begin at 8:30am, with the pre-race meeting set for 9:45am. The June TRDMA meeting will be held on Tuesday, June 3rd at 7:30pm. Meetings are held at the Two Rivers Nazarene Church, the first Tuesday of each month (unless it’s a holiday). We have 2 new Board Members: President Heather Rogers and Vice President Susan Allmeroth. These ladies have taken over the reins and hope to have a great year with TRDMA. Your returning Board Members are Secretary Tammi Rego, Treasurer Becky Cummings and Member-At-Large Peggy Wandell. Summer is a busy time, as TRDMA will be putting the various club committees together to begin planning for the upcoming 08/09 Winter Season.
We’ll chair the various committees (Race/Rules Committee, Sponsorship Committee, Trail Committee, etc.); so, we need our volunteers to come out and sign up to help with the many duties that need to be done this year. If you want to see things happen, you need to get out there and be a part of the action. See you there!
